Jim is a father of two grown sons who are both certified as Advanced Open Water Divers. He received his Open water certified at Aqua World in 1997. It didn’t take long before he became a Divemaster and was certified and an Open Water Scuba Instructor in October 1998.
Since teaching that first class, ScubaJim has continued his Dive Training as well as training others. With an array of specialties learned, he now teaches many here at Aqua World including, Nitrox, Navigation, and Search And Recovery to name a few.
When Jim is not teaching classes he can often be found Spear fishing for Dinner with one of Aqua Worlds great Assistant Instructors Keith Davis. If you’re interested in learning how to catch your meal just ask them. They will be happy to give you the inside scoop and maybe even take you along!

Originally certified in December 1993, this Yankee diver comes to us from the 46 degree, deep ocean waters of the Pacific Northwest. Calling Whidbey Island (NW Washington) his home, Chris brings with him almost 15 years of valuable diving experience:
- Shallow water tide pool excursions.
- Artifact hunting off of Admiralty Beach.
- Searching for WWII Military artifacts in the San Juan Islands.
- Playing with harbor seals & Giant Pacific Octopus while exploring the thick kelp forests of the Puget Sound.
- Northern Elephant Seals off the Southern California coast.
- Exciting deep water wreck diving in Canada.
However, he seems to have taken a liking to the more temperate lakes and quarries we train in here as well.
While Chris’ passion may lead him to stray, from time to time, to the dark abyss of what he refers to as “the real final frontier”, he can normally be found blowing bubbles and passing on his passion for diving to others.
In May 2007, Chris took the leap and crossed over from an SSI Dive Control Specialist to a PADI Open Water SCUBA Instructor and this is just the beginning.

Jimmie (Jimi) is a US Army retired Captain (21 Year Veteran) who started diving while stationed in Oahu, Hawaii in 1995.
After her retirement from the military, she moved to Rowlett, TX and has since worked as a physician assistant in a Local Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department.
She has been associated with Aqua World Scuba since she moved to the area. She completed AOW and Rescue Certification thru Aqua World Scuba.
She has experienced extensive dive travel to include: Cozumel, Cancun, St. Thomas USVI, Bahamas, Fiji, Cayman Islands, Bonaire, Jamaica, Pohnepei Micronesia, Kwajalein Marshall Islands, Australia, Flower Gardens, Barbados, Thailand, Curacao, Pemba Bay in East Africa and Florida Keys. She has dived several wrecks to include the Spiegel Grove in Florida and several WWII wrecks in the Marshal Islands. She has also taken advantage of the Live-a-Board diving in Australia and Africa.
She has studied underwater photography in the Cayman Islands and has a passion for underwater photography. She volunteers with the “Diving with a Purpose” Organization at Biscayne National Park Underwater Archeological Education Program in Florida, learning investigative and research techniques of the multiple Florida wrecks. This program provides hands on instructions on learning to read a wreck and recognize artifacts.
She completed her PADI Divemaster and Open Water Instructor in August 2006 during an internship in Thailand. She completed the Poseidon Handicap Scuba Instructor Course in Florida 3 June 2007.

Larry grew up in New York and now calls Dallas, Texas home. He received his Undergraduate Degree from SUNY Binghamton and his Graduate Degree from SUNY Buffalo. He became involved with Aqua World as soon as he moved here to Texas to continue his passion of Scuba Diving. Larry was hooked on diving in 1986 on a vacation to the Bahamas, then continued his training to the professional level of PADI Divemaster in May, 2007. He has been all over the world diving from the Red Sea, Indian Ocean and from the Pacific to Atlantic Oceans! Larry loves to dive and is always willing to lend a helping hand.

Ryan is a student at Naaman Forest High School and works with us as our Staff Lifeguard and Retail Store Operations. He's a great student with varied interests. As an active young man, he's in the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps - Petty Officer Third Class, and plans on making a career either in the United States Navy Seals or Navy Diver. He performs with the "Lumberjacks" for his school, enjoys unicycling, jumping stilts, stunts, ultimate frisbee, rock climbing and videography.
